InflationCompare is an independent analytical service designed to accurately calculate inflation losses and evaluate the real value of money over time.
Economic indicators are often published in a fragmented way. The goal of this service is to clearly demonstrate how the purchasing power of currency changes and what equivalent income is required to maintain your standard of living. The project is developed and maintained by an independent developer from Poland without third-party financial or government involvement.
Data Sources: Official Statistics Only
The key principle of our service is the complete rejection of third-party expert assessments, hidden adjustments, or averaged aggregators. All calculations are performed exclusively based on official consumer price indices (CPI / HICP) published by government agencies:
- Eurozone: Harmonized Index of Consumer Prices (HICP) from Eurostat.
- USA: Consumer Price Index (CPI) published by the Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS).
- Poland: Data from the Statistics Poland (CPI GUS).
- Russia and Belarus: Official reports from Rosstat and Belstat respectively.
Data on charts and dashboards is synchronized with original sources as official reports are released.
Open Calculation Methodology
Our algorithms are fully transparent. Long-term inflation is calculated using a rigorous mathematical model. The base formula for the Price Multiplier (K) is:
